Instead of building oil pipelines should we build water pipelines?

Why build pipelines to places we are not supposed to be living in? The urban sprawl is the real problem. There are water wars here on the east coast too. Atlanta basically does not have enough water if it grows any larger.

I wonder about all that water in Alaska, Canada & the arctic. And the Great Lakes! The Northern States have it made. Too bad the Great Lakes are all East of the Rockies

Water levels in the Great Lakes have been in decline for years.

California did that a long time ago.

I am from one of The Great Lakes states. I would all for negotiating a deal with the Provinces and selling some water to California.
