There are all sorts of esoteric speculations on spanning the distances between the stars. My hunch is that if we as a species survive long enough to figure it out, the solution won’t involve sealing folks in a can and flinging them along. I think the big revelations will begin to emerge when we acquire a more thorough understanding of the nature of time.
