If a 14 yo girl is raped in a school bathroom on the advice of a teacher, is it enough for the court to say that the circumstances "will hopefully never again be repeated" [Details]?

Rape bait.
The article is like one of those “How many things can you find wrong in this picture?” drawings that used to be a standard on the kids page in the newspaper.
I don’t see where the rapist was ever punished in any way.
Disclaimer: I try to avoid asking questions designed to inflame people, but is there another option here?

They just gave the little rapist a hall pass. Pffft! This is so wrong on so many levels I don’t have the energy to address them all. Suffice it to say this is Alabama, still a backwards ass state full of uneducated educators apparently.
No, it’s not enough in any way. Like @Coloma said, there are so many things wrong with the way the entire thing was handled that I don’t even know where the hell to begin. Things like this are precisely why so many people say that America is driven by rape culture. The girl was told to go to the bathroom alone with someone she accused of sexually harassing her. She’s getting counseling after the fact, but what the fuck? Where’s his counseling? Where’s his punishment? This makes me sick to my stomach.
A better question might be who employed idiots to run this school? And since they did, it’s likely other idiots run other schools.
So even though it would be nice if such a situation never arises again, something equally stupid is likely to happen again.
Aljazeera huh? And people here have a problem with what is posted on the Huffington Post or Fox news…..interesting…
Well, i guess there were many mistakes made, but part of the mistakes come from flawed rules, because of a flawed society.
Okay. @Coloma chalks it up to Alabama is a backwards state.
What comes to mind for me is another thread, where I said sometimes society can take care of infractions sometimes, then and there, without calling police, or, both taking action and calling police. A pile of jellies said the law should take care of it. Here is a shining example of how someone gets victimized, and well, a lynch mob is in order. What? No, not for the boy. He needs a long stay at a ha ha hotel to see if he can be helped. The teacher should be lynched. The principal and an undetermined few other school employees should be marked as poison, and scattered to the winds. The girl should get $$$$millions^^.
Oh, and everyone involved except CJC should send that girl gifts every month forever with a card begging for forgiveness. Maybe that could help ease the pain for her parents too.
CJC, if it is found he could be helped, should be, but with a mandatory hospital stay of three years minimum. If he can’t be helped. he should go to prison, for much longer than three years.
Wow! As a parent I would’ve really kicked some ass. Starting with the little rapist prick. In the huffington post it says the girl moved away to another state, and for some reason, even though there was proof of anal tearing, for some reason he wasn’t taken to court. Which I don’t understand. She was 14 and he was 16. He should at least be charged as a pedophile. His parents must have some connections. The kid went to another school for a while and is back in his old school, like nothing happened.
Disclaimer: I do not mean to single out Alabama as some sort of pariah, this could have happened anywhere, but, still doesn’t change the additional fact that Alabama is not exactly known for churning out a lot of brilliant people.
I understand your point, @Coloma. It just gets my gall when people seem to give up on humanity just because the people from a given place are the yesteryear sort. It feels like people are expected to behave a certain way, but animals and people from that town are excused.
That teacher needs to be at least be charged with child endangerment, but more appropriately with accessory to rape. Using a child as bait is inexcusable.
