Facebook addiction?

Asked by divinepk3r (373points) September 10th, 2015

Hey, I have a little Facebook/social medias addiction and don’t really know what to do about it…like I sometimes get mad at someone just for not messaging for a while which is in my opinion, quite ridiculous and yet, I can’t help it and get mad. Any solutions?

Been there, done that. Best thing to do is occupy your time with real people and real activities (or Fluther if they are not available).

Do you have any friends who are not on FB? Get out and do things with them. (and don’t post selfies of whatever you are doing).

Seriously, It is hard.
It means staying away from the computer or the phone completely for a while.
It means finding other things to occupy your time. Anything. Anything but getting online.
I say go ‘cold turkey’ that is what works for me. For a while. If I try to wean myself off I just end up staying on and wasting my time.
Go outside, walk. Leave your phone at home. People used to go for, literally, hours without having to speak to someone or look something up. You can do it too!
But unless you really want to you are just going to disappoint yourself. How much do you want to be FB free?

Read other stuff. I feel you I’m online alllll the time. But, seriously, read other stuff, it’ll help.
