Do you know the title of this movie?

Hey Im trying to find a movie, think its from the early 2000, not sure though, it was almost based on heavens gate, 2 men find a little girl in the desert and are taken by men to an isolated place where they are put in “cages” former toilets if I remember right. The people is a cult that believes they will go on a journey as the comet will end earth. A constant voice comes trough the speakers. A mass suicide takes place in a shelter like room
All in all it ends with they save the girl but as they drive off into civilizations the comet comes…
Ive seen it and think it was named something like Messengers, but no matter what words I search on, that and comets, cults etc I dont find it so thought perhaps someone here has seen it and remembers the name and year?! :)
