Can one get nightmares or to be afraid of the dark when sleeping during the day?

If you don’t work the graveyard shift and are worried about nightmares while sleeping during the day you probably have a whole host of issues that need more professional help than you will find here TJ

No, those are Daymares. Nightmares can only, by definition, occur after 5 pm.

Nightmares, yes. I have had them. Afraid of the dark? It’s not dark in the daytime.

Yes, I have often slept during the day and had terrible nightmares.

I’ve had nightmares and sleep paralysis while sleeping during the day. Can’t say about the dark, ain’t afraid of that.

Actually, I think I am more prone to daymares than nightmares. Big difference is I rarely have time for a nap in the afternoon.

@Cruiser some people DO take naps during the day.
