What do you think of this protest sign?
I came across this picture online today. Definitely a cause I can get behind. It reminded me of Fluther at its best and I felt I had to share it. Unfortunately the article containing the picture did not give any description of it.

I think she is a person who has an open mind and she’s smart. It forces those who are afraid to voice their opinions to open up and those with closed minds either have to put up or shut up. If they get disrespectful and obnoxious than they already lost their argument and appear weak and ill informed. If they mind their temper than they may actually have to hear the other person and may learn something new that they never bothered to hear before because they were to busy shouting others down. So she has a better chance of being heard and opening minds.
Only flaw is that the only ones who may be persuaded to have peaceful discourse with her would be those who are, already open minded.
I am more interested in respectful grammar.
Yup, as close to Fluther as you can shake a stick at.
She’s a dreamer. Got to love an idealist who still believes in the dream.
Yep. I would probably follow that woman straight into hell.
Most excellent. She may have been counter-protesting some of the increasingly polar signs we’ve seen of late. I like the thought
The sign is from the Rally to Restore Sanity, which was simultaneously a spoof on modern political agitation and a sincere attempt to reshape our national political conversation. It’s a great sentiment, and I can only hope that more people will take it to heart.
Anathema to Fluther
The Fluther sign would say ” I am interested in your opinion as long as it is the same as mine”
Having said it I like the sign.
How about “I’m interested in your opinion because I get to tell you it’s crap!”?
