"Have you never climbed a real rock", what do you think that means?
Just listening to some music, and that was one of the lines. What do think it really means? Have fun with it if you want.

As someone who took rock climbing lessons in Yosemite and at Lake Tahoe, it is a bit of a statement on the artificial experience of man made rock walls in gyms and on playgrounds.
Too many people have artificial experiences; it’s like going to a wave machine at a water park to body surf, or a conveyor belt ramp in Arabia to ski.
I think it’s comment about experience in general, not about rocks specifically.
Basically asking “have you been challenged?” or “have you suffered”, or something that builds on the artificiality that @zenvelo points out.
A question for people who think they have a lot of experience but actually know squart? In my language they call these people “frogs under the well”.
I think it means exactly what it says. I think they are simply talking about experiencing and exploring life’s little adventures. When I was a kid there were these huge rocks in the parks in NYC. We use to love to explore them and climb all over them. We always ended up with bumps and scrapes. Well until we got bigger and better at climbing them. It didn’t matter how many lumps or bumps or scrapes we got. We would faithfully return to them every time. It was a great joy to explore and challenge our abilities and adapt to different parts that were harder to climb. So I suppose it could mean, have you ever challenged yourself.
Or it could mean, have you ever climbed on someone as stupid as a real rock
