… have the wish, I wish tonight…
When was the last time you made a wish on something?
(Lottery tickets, scratch off’s, or gambling -don’t count.)
Do you ever wish on a star?
Do you wish on the moon?
Do you throw coins in a fountain and make a wish?
When you put the clasp that has worked it’s way down to your necklace charm in front- turn it back around to the back, making a wish as you do so?
Do you make a wish along with a little cross-fingered ritual when you see a white horse?
Do you lick your thumd-pad and put it to the ceiling of your car when you go under a train tressel with a moving train on the tracks- and then make a wish before putting your arm back down again?
Do you cross your fingers- not behind your back in a lie- but cross them in front to bring good luck?
Or have you ceased to make wishes now that your body has gotten older?

I make a wish every time I see a shooting star or when I drive through a tunnel and hold my breath until I’m out of the other side. I don’t care if I don’t believe it’ll work anymore the way I did when I was a kid, it’s still a tradition I’m happy to keep, just because.
When? Probably a couple of Thanksgivings ago. Wishbone. I won the pull.

I don’t think I’ve ever made a real wish, I guess that’s part of seeing things at face value, I mean what would be the point?
Maybe when I was a ridiculously young and still stupid child, but I can’t recall anything.
I was wishing as late as last night for the Cubs to come back and take the NLCS and advance to the World Series.
