How fast is your Fluther fuse burning?
Some have snuffed the fuse out (or it made it to its load and detonated), but those who have come back, it would seem the fuse was pinched out for a time. Those who never pinched it out, or have returned, how fast is the fuse burning to that point you are done with Fluther, either the 1st time, or the next time? Do you know or have any imagination where the detonation point lies?

I think my Fluther fuse is of infinite length, so it can burn as quickly or as slowly as it likes, depending on what’s happening here or in my real life. I don’t see any point in deactivating my account. I come by when I want to, and I don’t when I don’t.
No idea, don’t think about it that much, it’s a teeny little site lurking in a corner of the internet, nothing to get worked up about.

Yeah, but….some have seemed to developed deep ties to this site and other members on it. Maybe that adds more flavor or entertainment to it, or if one knows what others are doing offline. Like you, it is a time passing muse….some point, I can see it no longer being useful to me and I would be gone; but I do know when that will be, if not sooner then I expect.
Changed the fuse and a couple of corroded wires. I think it’s pretty good for a while.
I quit at some point (for the 20th time) early this year, then came back a few months later with this account. This is the first in my almost eight years here that I can go days or weeks without thinking about this place. I was a Fluther junky my entire time as jonsblond. I checked in multiple times every day.
This fuse will burn out when Fluther dies. I may go long periods without visiting or contributing, but I’m done with disabling my account.
It’s good to see like half a dozen folks come back. Conversations are interesting again.
I doubt if I’ll ever be able to stay away forever.
I think of fluther like distant relatives. You get busy with life and keep putting your distant relatives off till you get some more free time and then you ring them up or in fluthers case, come back. And sometimes it seems they may be busy as well and there seems like there is nothing new to catch up on.
My point is, I don’t think everyone that leaves, leaves because they are ticked off. They just go on hiatus until they have time. I know when I’m real busy, and have some free time to kick back, I play some game on the computer because I don’t want to get caught up in something that may take longer than a game like Spider Solitaire.
I’m a steady regular, that might change someday but I like my fluther with my morning coffee and my evening wine. lol
I’ll be done for the second time when some insufferable asshole gets loads of pats on the back

I guess that fuse will burn like it has been greased with napalm, there has never been a point here I have not seen that
My participation waxes and wanes with life events and work deliverables. I can’t imagine cutting off completely.
I was at a funeral recently and realized I have way more contact with some folks here than I do with my cousins – and I don’t mind it a bit.
Never had a fuse.
Never will.

I have almost left a time or two from over-moderation. I like the people here too much to leave for any extended length of time though.
lifer with many disguises? hey, I’m still here aren’t I?
Even when I’m not around here, I’m still very much connected by many tentacles. I don’t see that changing any time soon.
Mine is getting very short, I think my time here is limited.
This is my 8th year. I’m in it for the long haul, probably until Fluther goes kaput.

COPY THAT!
I’m a lifer so I will likely be here until Fluther is no more.
I can’t answer that, because I was fairly confident that I would not be back… yet, here I am. I don’t think it would be so easy to stay away if I were not still connected to some jellies outside of the site. Friendships have been the primary pull to come back and/or stay over the years.
