Were Spock's ears the same ones throughout the TV series and all the movies? Or did they change shape over the years?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33552points) October 26th, 2015

It seems like Spock’s ears were a little pointier in the early days of Star Trek (the original TV series) but when they started making the movies, they were a little rounder and less pointy.

Can any of the Star Trek experts comment?

They absolutely changed over time.

Here is an early example

This comes later

These are in The Wrath of Khan

And then in The Voyage Home

And then you’ve got Spock-ish 2.0 who apparently got the gene for attached earlobes instead of danglies.

In the evolution of the Trek series, it seems that the more Spock embraced his human side, the less alien he appeared.

in the town of Vulcan, you can purchase original Spock ears
