Meta Question

Have you ever seen a spambot here do something interesting?

Asked by jerv (31079points) October 27th, 2015

We all know that spambots come through Fluther. However, I’m wondering if anyone has seen any of them do anything novel that I missed, or whether I’m the only one to see them do something that was either interesting and/or entertaining. For instance, a spambot posting a reply in a thread posted by a different spambot.

You’ve seen that? I didn’t realize a spambot capable of posting a reply that would make any sense.

I’ve seen a spambot receive a Pilgrim award. I still don’t know how it got it.

I hardly ever see the critters.
I do wonder if we get to keep the lurve when one follows us.
Just idle curiosity, as it seems to happen on a regular basis.

^ You do.

Thanks, @longgone.
I figured, but I don’t keep a close eye on lurve, so I didn’t know.

And again tonight…

I’ve seen them talk to one another, as well. I wonder if they send each other pm’s.

I think Hypo asked a very similar question recently – maybe a stroll through the Meta section will turn up some additional observations.

Ah, here it is: http://www.fluther.com/183833/isnt-fluther-spam-useful-sometimes/
