Would you care to share your past Halloween experiences?
As a child collector of candies, a trickster, or as an adult treat-er. Were there any really spooky moments? Did anyone ever scare the hell out of you as a child? Did you or your neighbors ever experience an attack of juvenile vandals? Are there any cherished or frightening moments you’d like to share?

Roaming in packs of kids for blocks and blocks, all alone in costume, no adult supervision, without a bit of fear at less than 10 years old.
I’m with @marinelife. Children ruled the night, and adults let them roam with friends. I’d head out with an empty pillow case and eventually come home with it full of candy (the stuff would last all year!). I’ve heard about unsupervised kids playing nasty pranks or being bullied by older children, but I never witnessed or experienced either.
2 standouts, not scary, but humorous.
1st, as a teen, friends and I decided to make chocolate covered Milk Bone dog treats as a “trick” to handout. This was not appreciated by most of the parents but some shared our offbeat humor. haha

When my daughter was younger we would go trick or treating in my ex SIL’s upscale neighborhood as we lived rural. We would take “Marwyn” my 17 yr. old pet chinese goose with us as he is a human imprint and followed us everywhere. I made him a blue satin cape embossed with red felt letters that said SG for Super Goose! lol
He was the hvt of the neighborhood for seberal years running and got bread and water at every house and plenty grazing on peoples lawns. Good memories.
Last year I bought him a chicken hat for Halloween. See my avatar.
