What is the word for it? It is spoiled, just like the moldy solid food is spoiled too, but what is the word for it if it’s not moldy spoiled?

Thank you. I’m looking for synonyms too.
Not all solid food that “goes bad” is moldy, though when (most) solid foods get moldy we say they have “gone bad”. Some solid foods (particularly meat, for example) can look perfectly fine, but will smell to high heaven. (Even before it smells, it can be “bad” because of various pathogens, particularly bacterial.) Some solid food becomes stale, even though it never gets moldy or becomes more dangerous than it already was (such as crackers and chips and candy).
But some liquids curdle (milk), some go flat (soft drinks), some get sour or bitter (wine), and some, I suppose, just evaporate. I’ve also seen maple syrup become moldy, so liquids can become molded, too.
So, the one word for any food that doesn’t go moldy is rancid, or….. Because I’m looking for one word that applies to all food items that don’t go moldy. Like meat, and milk that hasn’t gone curdlly yet, or had or OJ that is sour but not necessarily, or stew that is or isn’t slimey, just one general word.
Thank you all.
@flo Off is a word that is not let gone bad.
@talljasperman But “off” or “bad”, another example, aren’t necessarily food related words.
@flo How about nasty? Or gross? Gone south? Bitter? For milk you can say chunky or curdled.
A relationship can go south, a person can feel bitter, a person can act nasty, ...
It has become primordial soup.

I know “spoiled” isn’t it because moldy is spoiled too.
Soured is all I have, and that’s just a variant of @AshlynM‘s “sour”.
I misunderstood, thought you were looking for an umbrella word for both. I would say “turned”, “sour” or “off” then as others have suggested.

There is no single word that describes only what you are describing and nothing else. Sometimes, language is inconvenient that way.
“Sour” can’t be it because lemon/lime are sour.
“Putrid” can be for any organic matter and so on.

Sour, Verb:
“to become sour, rancid, mildewed, etc.; spoil:
Milk sours quickly in warm weather. The laundry soured before it was ironed.”
Perhaps you’re looking for fermented?
@ibstubro Wine is fermented, and there’s nothing bad about that!
