So, will nothing be done to the Question for You?

Lots of peripherals are broken and unlikely to ever be fixed. The fact that the site is still up and running for it’s main purpose is a blessing, as the Powers That Be long ago moved on to other things, and now just keep it going as a courtesy.

It’s still possible that it will get fixed. But we’re not quite sure what’s wrong yet, and Ben doesn’t stop by all that often to take a look.

I never ever look at Questions for You. I only look at and keep track of Activity for You.

I didn’t realize it was broken. I just thought my bitching about the “does he like me” questions in my box had driven the gods to shut my box down.

I had a Question for You yesterday! Or maybe a couple of days ago. But just the one. And there hasn’t been another since.

@dappled_leaves Yeah, it’s not completely broken. It’s just not working properly. Again, we’re not exactly sure what’s going on yet. Fluther is hosted on two separate servers, so it may be that the feature works on one but not the other (which would explain the occasional additions).

Is PinotPhi gone completely? He used to be able to fix some things.

@janbb We haven’t heard from him in a long time. And while we’ve tried contacting him, there’s only so much it is fair to expect of him. He’s young, busy, and talented. Free labor probably isn’t on the top of his to-do list.

Understood. I just know he did fix some things in the past. Thanks for the explanation.

Well we can certainly live without it. It isn’t exactly an essential “tendril” of the organism.

You still get questions for you if another member specifically sends one to you, @dappled_leaves. I get them occasionally.
