Who was the last dictator or king that was above the law?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24945points) December 11th, 2015

One who could point to someone and have anything happen to then at will? A monarchy without a constitution to limit power. Sort of like Darth Vader, but real.

They’re still very much with us. Just pay attention. There are plenty of places where such niceties as a constitution amount to little more than window dressing.

Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe is a bad one. I’ve read that he’s quite mean to people when he’s not pleased.

How about Assad, Mugabe, etc.

You do not need to be a king or dictator to be above the law.
Pigs, for instance. Very much above the law.
Or convicted war criminal George W. Bush. Still walking free.

I do agree that Assad is bad for his people but then again, I’d show my support for Assad. Why? Simply because without a firm hand to rule the people, the country will turn into chaos. ( other countries which did kick out a dictator but then due to the fact that there’s too many different ideas, parties began to fight each other for power) ...That’s just my opinion.
