How can I find a "sweet' Sherry?

Asked by srmorgan (6773points) December 15th, 2015

My wife was asked to buy a bottle of Sherry for an “older person” (keep in mind that I am 66) and she drinks “sweet’ Sherry.

Can anyone recommend what brands to look for or how to find a sweeter product by reading the label?

Thanks

Had to look in my wine rack, Sandeman Armada Superior Cream Sherry.
It should cost between $15 and $20.

The label will say “Dry” or “Sweet.” Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry is an old standard.

Harvey’s Bristol Cream is a great suggestion, and very reasonably priced. Sandeman Armada is high quality and great for sipping. Both of these are widely available.

Any Sherry with the word “Cream” on it will be sweet.
