Did Geico ever release a sitcom for their cavemen?
I heard that Geico’s ad campaign, the cavemen, were creating a sitcom. Is this true? If it is, what was the show called?

Yes and no. Geico didn’t create the show or the cavemen. But the guy that did created a short lived sitcom. I forget what it was called. But boy was it dumb.
I do not recall what the name of the show was. The guy that came up with the cavemen for the Geico commercial sold the rights. They did put out the sitcom, but it was ridiculous and lasted only one or two episodes, maybe a few more.
That show might’ve actually been good if they hadn’t used the cavemen for Geico first…
Although I don’t know because I never actually watched more than two seconds of the show.
It’s one of those things that sounds like a good idea. Until you see it happen. I’m not sure it was even an original premise. Wasn’t the movie Encio Man almost the same concept.
Wow. No. Encino Man was so not the same concept.
The Cavemen sitcom was about how cavemen are every bit, if not more refined than the rest of us “normals” and how they dealt with misperceptions around that and other things.
The Encino Man movie was about trying to integrate a silly, crude, and ignorant caveman into modern day society.
If anything, there were opposite concepts.

This quip should not be interpreted as an endorsement for either the movie or the sitcom.
I never even watched it but I do remember hearing about it and seeing it on my on screen guide. It got canceled right about the time the writer’s strike happened and I really don’t think anyone minded much.
