I live in NZ but buying for my brother in the US. I’m having huge problems with Amazon.com so looking for an alternative, Christmas is suddenly upon me.

It should be. Best Buy is a large national chain electronics and appliance department store in the US that has been around for years. The only risk is the typical risk taken when using a credit card online, but I’m sure they take significant security measures regarding credit cards for their customers.
Best Buy is a huge retailer, so they’re reliable as far as that goes.
They also allow other companies to show listings on their site, so you might just make sure you’re getting your purchase from Best Buy if you’re worried there.
I knew someone would know the site, that’s good news, I shall happily order away. Thank you both.
Personal experience: I’ve bought a lot of stuff from Best Buy over the years, both instore and online. I’ve never had a problem buying or returning merchandise either way. Never.
I prefer Newegg to BestBuy, though they have some different things. Not that BestBuy isn’t safe.
