If you had to guess , how much do you use your home computer for work, and how much for play?

Myself I would say I use it about 2% for work, and the rest is just play.

I think 2% for work would be a bit of an exaggeration for me. If I have to check email for work, I use my phone (for which I get a small reimbursement each month).

I logged into my work remote access site from my computer last month for the first time all year.

About 10% : 90%

We have the etsy store, which I don’t add to often enough, and I do all of the digital art for hubby’s band: flyers, album art, other marketing materials as needed.

I am not obligated to do any work outside of work, except maybe attend an event now and then. I don’t do work at home. If on occasion, I check work email from my work on home computer, it’s entirely optional. Therefore, I’d say less than 1%.

I use my computer about 5 minutes a month for work. Less than 10 minutes, anyway.

10–20% freelance work (writing, audio and video editing), the rest personal writing, communication, news and info surfing, accounting, shopping, and freqyent support for an old pal in L.A. who, after 25 years, still can’t remember how to attach a file to an email or get the latest OS update!

90 play, 10 work – me
10 play, 90 work – wife

She’s awesome.

I use my cellphone for playtime, and my computer is not even turned on unless I know I will need to write a lot.

If we are counting only work I get paid for, it is about fifty percent work, the rest is play.

If we’re counting all work, such as making lesson plans, responding to clients, and even moderating, I’d guess it’s more like 80–20.
