What do you really eat a lot of, perhaps even far too much?

If my confectionery goes I may as well go too! I do not care for food as much as I do for the sweet fatal sugar! Anything you eat a lot of and then feel guilty!

Yes it’s the cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, danish. My emergency fruitcake ration arrived yesterday. But the great culprit remains quality ice cream.
I couldn’t get it to play, but the gay kissing thing was touching and had me giggling.
@stanleybmanly Oh, sorry. You could Google Sean Hayes Holiday song if you want to hear it. It’s very funny.
Mmmm. Nothing. I don’t eat too much of anything. But breads and cereals are often my go-to when I’m hungry.
I don’t keep brownies, cakes, etc. in the house, period. If they aren’t in the house I can’t eat ‘em. Although…I did break down and buy some peanut brittle at Braums 4 days ago. I still have half the box.
My husband, on the other hand, bought a box of turtle ice cream sandwich things at Braums at the same time. Just ice cream surrounded by hard chocolate, with a bunch of caramel and nuts on top. I couldn’t make it through half of one. He, on the other hand, ate the whole box in 1 and a half days.
Sugar and beef—two things I grew up on—but I’ve cut down on both this year, considerably.
Thai food, for sure.
And I don’t EAT it, per say, but I’m pretty sure I get more than my share of alcohol sugars.
I have a bowl I keep filled with mixed nuts and I have to keep filling it far too often.
I’ve been thinking about this for a while and the answer is… nothing.
I like chocolate but I don’t eat that much. I don’t have it every day. I can go weeks without having any.
I like donuts but only eat one when I get a coupon for a freebie. And when I do eat it I back off my calorie intake a few hundred.
I like sweet wine and average a glass every 3 to 5 days.
(Someone, please tell my Mom I’m eating right.)
Mom! @LuckyGuy is getting into your wine again!
Nothing, that would be stupid & self defeating.
@ucme Well I guess your shit doesn’t smell, so you must eat a lot of that, right?
If there is a particular food I would probably eat far too much of (read chocolate covered cherries) I simply do not bring them into the house. My son gives me a box once a year. I make ‘em last!
@ARE_you_kidding_me Lo-calorie of course.
@Dutchess_III Try Manischewitz or Kedem Extra Heavy Malaga. It’s nectar of the Gods! So sweet it will make your toes curl!
@dxs A strange response, but one i’m sure you enjoyed, which is the main thing.
@ucme
ha ha, beat you to it.
Tag, no fair guessing ;-}
I’ve never gotten into the habit of overeating. I suppose I learned this early on. I eat a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner and feel no need to snack.
@Tellitasitis makes a good point. Overeating is a habit people get into.
@ARE_you_kidding_me Hold on… Let me move this activity bracelet to a more pertinent location so we can get real data.
There! thathss muth bether. Now leths teths ith. Justh neeth a voluntheer.
^^^ What ARE you doing, dude??
Yep, I’m in the sugar camp and have also cut back this year. I can go forever without junk food, but I crave a nightly sweet while watching a movie or reading or videos. I have been buying bags of Tootsie Pops and sucking away my cravings. lol
LOL! You’ve cut back this year, huh? Well, it’s Jan 1. Have you seen much difference yet?!
@Dutchess_III Haha, I wrote that yesterday, so far today only a little sugar in my coffee, but, it’s early yet and there is leftover cake from a friends birthday yesterday. Oh noooo…!
…cut yourself a big slice then run water over it….I promise, it works.
She’s trying to cut back on sugar.
^ I meant, why not just toss the cake, or let someone else eat it?
Well, I answered from the perspective that I’m not the only person partaking of the foods, so I can’t just toss out the whole shebang, much as I’d like to. If it was just me, I wouldn’t even bring it in the house to begin with. But my husband is a dessert nut and we have that crap around here all too often.
When the craving gets a little strong I say, “Well, WTH! I’ll go get a piece!” and I do. Just cutting it and putting it on the plate relieves some of that craving. Pouring water on it then makes it totally gross and wipes out the craving altogether. It’s just a trick I’ve learned, living with my husband (who made a pan of brownies yesterday, and has already gone through half of the pan all by himself.)
