After a divorce, and once they feel ready to date again, have you noticed any women who had short hair while married, grow their hair back out when back in the dating scene?
I’ve been on the Q about women cutting their hair shortly after a baby, and some answers also referenced not needing or wanting to attract men.
What if they keep their hair short for years post baby? You can’t blame that on the baby wanting to constantly tug on mommy’s hair.

I have always worn my hair – long and short and sometimes long again, married and now single – to please myself. Why guess at what someone else might prefer?
I’ve had long hair for years, married, divorced, dating, ( it is still a couple inches below the shoulder ) I think losing weight and getting in super fit shape is more common.
It’s fairly common for your hair to fall out after giving birth. Mine did and was also weird for a while. I got it cut short then because of that.
I suppose people who are dating again after a long relationship do try to look better. Not sure about growing hair. You’d certainly expect someone who was more concerned about their appearance to get a haircut to look better.
This woman I used to work with was married and also had short, curly hair. Very matronly looking. She became a widow about two years ago and now, va va voom! Long hair, more glamorous looking.
In a previous life I worked at a large research center with about 600 employees. That number was large enough so there were always few folk going through a divorce or breakup of some kind. There were enough examples so I can answer your question with reasonable confidence.
The answer is Yes! – and more.
About 6 months before the divorce you could see the women (and men) starting to get in shape. Sometimes there would be some light tanning. Both men and women tended to dress better.
Women: hair grew out and got highlights. Heals got a little taller and dresses got a little shorter. Eye makeup got fancier. If this were today I’d say “cat eye” makeup would be seen.
Men: Joined a gym, took up skiing and traveled.
With @janbb on this one. My hair, however styled, whatever length, has always been kept in a manner that pleases me. I wouldn’t want to date anyone that judged me by my hair.
