What's the best way to set up a blog?

I'm looking for something I can update with relative ease, and something I can customize to make it look and act the way I'd like it to. I've used wordpress in the past. I'm open to Django, Moveable Type, Textpattern, or others. Mostly I'm looking for recommendations.

I really dig ExpressionEngine: http://www.expressionengine.com

Great suggestions. Blogger isn't customizable enough for me, I think. SimpleLog and ExpressionEngine both look cool. Mephisto (http://www.mephistoblog.com) is another system that looks good.
