Has this ever happened to you? You shared a secret close to your heart with someone you trust and he / she breached your trust by exposing it?

My father told me, “three men can keep a secret if two of them are dead”.
It’s worked for me so far.
There are two ways to keep a secret: don’t have them, or don’t tell anyone.
Nope. None of my friends would ever give me reason to regret telling them anything.
Yes, and it taught me a hard lesson: love is more powerful than friendship.
With only the best of intentions I told a close friend/co-worker something not so good about his girlfriend I believed he needed to know. Big mistake.
Yes. I told her that I had manic /depression disorder. It got around the university and no one would help me in Java or any other classes because they thought that it was my fault for being sick.
I’ve needed discretion for short periods of time and I always thought those close to me, especially a sister, would understand and not use my circumstances as a funny story to tell other sisters. Also, a ‘friend’ who tells personal things about me to the girlfriend of my ex husband is someone I really can’t share with I found out.
