Should I contact him?

Asked by Blasiangirl500 (136points) January 23rd, 2016

I have been talking to this guy for a month and we only been on two dates. He usually text me in two weeks and we would hang out again. The thing is he would also text me on special occasion such as my birthday and Christmas. When we text each other , we would would text in paragraph and talk for a long time. I haven’t heard from him two weeks ago so I decided to text him first. When I did, he reply and it was long as always. Now its been another two weeks and is wondering should I contact him or does it feel like I should move on? by the way before we start to date I stated that I needed a two weeks space from people sometimes, but I’m sure if he’s actually listening and doing that because of me.

I would take the chance, it’s not like you’re going to marry him. You can but first it’s best to take things slow.

Since he is following your rules that you need two weeks space from people, then I would go ahead and contact him. It can’t hurt.

I agree that it cannot hurt to contact him. But on the other hand, don’t expect miracles. He might have seen your “I need two weeks” as a gentle brush off.

Whenever there is a question in such matters…

Is he attempting to put you on his schedule?
Have you step away from what you said?
Could be a game. Some excell at them.
People talk things out, not jerk chains.
Chill a bit.
Your feelings aren’t there to be discarded and then
‘jump to’ when beckoned.
Let him contact you this time.
If it happens, bring it up if you feel like it.
You might be pleased to discuss instead of avoid, or dread, or someone feels they have to lie.
Why not enjoy the scenery a bit before counting days between?
Is there a time deadline? Who turns back into a pumpkin or mouse?
Some advise-“No guts, no glory.”
You need to define ‘glory’ for yourself.
