How to become a musician for weddings?
Very basic question: I want to make a little money on the side and I didn’t know if there was a website or place that provided opportunities for music at events, that I could easily contact to be hired for said ceremonies.
Anyone have any ideas I could look up, I’m from Cincinnati if that helps.

If you are a member of a church, let the staff know what you do so if people are getting married and making inquiries, the church staff might let them know about you.
If you have some money, make a flyer or a business card (online you can get cards for about 10 bucks).
Go to your local catering halls and let them know about what you do.
If you have public places like a town hall, go there and hang up your card on the bulletin board. Libraries might have a community bulletin board, too. Sometimes supermarkets have them.
It might be worth trying to get some local gigs at restaurants or bars for a while first so that you build up a bit of a name for yourself. What instrument do you play?
Advertise with business cards everywhere you go- pet groomers to apartment complex boards in their payment offices.
Use a throw away, oh, excuse me, a recyclable throw away so your phone number isn’t left out there for just the bored and creepy.
Good luck!
Also, be willing to learn pieces that you would not normally have in your repertoire.
I play violin. Haha that would’ve been helpful to provide.
We have a friend in town that plays violin professionally. She does free concerts at the local colleges (Parents Day… etc.) and has cards to hand out with contact info. She does several weddings and other paying events a year.
You might want to look into a listing in a website like this, or something similar.
