I remember watching this aeons ago.
The basic premise is that in present day, there is an ancient style japanese village which visitors can interact with using augmented reality goggles.
while using these goggles, the protagonist gets attacked by a demon and is incapacitated.
when he wakes up, he is now stuck in this seemingly past reality.
