How often do you re-visit things you "don't like", and how often have you allowed your opinion to change?

My example answers will be food based, but don’t let that define the question for you, if your viscera (gut) gives you a different visceral (emotional) response.
I ate baby Brussels sprouts tonight and my former “baby cabbages from Hell” were edible. I’ll not fix them again anytime soon (unless I hear of a recipe that disguises the flavor well), but I wouldn’t refuse to allow them within 3 foot of my plate at a dinner (as previously), either.
I conquered my loathing for sweet potatoes a number of years back. However, I still consider them enjoyable only as a sweet dessert.
Do you re-visit your dislikes, and do you ever get over them?

I love Brussels sprouts, either grilled or dipped in mayo. haha
I don’t revisit foods I dislike but I have revisited a few old relationships and was quickly reminded why I dumped them to begin with. Ancient history now, but yeah…sometimes we need to revisit something to remind oursleves why we dislked it in the 1st place.lol
I have always hated soggy Wheaties and in an effort to lead by example to teach my 16 year old the value in not wasting food….I am leading by example and slurping down my Wheaties mush….giving him the thumbs up to follow suit.
If I watch a highly recommended movie, and I don’t like it, I will watch it 2 or 3 more times.
For example, I have watched “The Deer Hunter” half a dozen times, and I still have no idea why people like it.
I hate blueberries. I used to try them every few years hoping I would like them, or be able to tolerate them, but I still can’t eat them in their fresh state. I can handle them in muffins now, but it’s not my favorite.
I also hate fresh tomatoes. I try them every so often when they make their way into a salad, but they are still yuck to me. If they are doused in lemon and salt and part of a pico de gallo type thing I can eat them. I add extra lemon and salt to it.
I’ll try a TV show a second or third time if it’s very popular. The first couple of times I saw The Good Wife I didn’t like it. So many people raved about it that a few years later during a marathon of old episodes I recorded them and watched a bunch in a sitting. Now, I love the show. Same thing happened with West Wing. I watched it in rerun and it was great.
