How do I fix the antenna tv sound for a channel?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24945points) February 11th, 2016

I have a Philips 40” flat screen tv. The sound doesn’t work on one channel. I don’t have Cable. It worked last night, but I stepped on the remote.

Describe “stepped on remote”?

Sounds like the “Mute” is on but it maybe the “SAP” for the channel you can’t hear is not SAP.

@Tropical_Willie I just played with the sap button. Didn’t fix it. I’ll try unplugging the tv for 2 minutes and resetting everything back from scratch.

@Tropical_Willie I turned on CC it will have to do for now. I only watch the news on tv.

The sounds works on other channels? Is that correct?

I think that was clear from the question, but can’t think of an obvious answer, so I am double checking.

Like you, I get my TV from an antenna. I have a 39” Insignia so mine is different from yours But….
If I push the “MTS/SAP” button one channel will be different from the others. FOX . I have to scroll through the options and select “other” to get that channel in English.
Is there any chance you it that button?

@All I don’t know how, but it is working fine now. Maybe the problem is the tv stations problem?
