Like many things in life, Comcast exists as a result of the attention (and money) that it is paid. People seem willing to endure this tragic excuse for a company despite widespread insult and injustice. People complain about pain when the simplest option is to simply let go of the need for cable tv. I don’t understand why people pay for television, especially when it is advertiser supported. Paying for crappy tv service is just dumb.
I use Comcast for my Internet and TV. I don’t care about the TV part but the Internet service has been alright. Them messing with bittorrent traffic pisses me off. But I don’t have any other broadband options here.
I don’t mind Comcast. I think Motorola must die, because Comcast uses Motorola for their boxes and they flat-out suck. But, uh… I don’t mind them.
And as far as that site goes… if I wanted to civilly get Comcast’s attention and urge them to change, I wouldn’t call my site “Comcast Must Die.”
Viacom is worse in my opinion. Blocking my youtube for no reason at all.
I’ve never had a problem with Comcast. Their HD service is alright and cable in general is superb, much more reliable than satellite.
I don’t use Comcast for internet just because I like Verizon more. FIOS ftw!
I live in an area with many options for internet and more importantly Verizon does not mess with the bittorrent traffic.
FIOS is great but this Actiontec router they mandate really, really sucks. I have to restart it four times a day, typically.
