Have you put a mattress pad on a mattress lately? Did you find it difficult?

Mine balls up a little, but I much prefer that to other that just have a strap like thingy at the corners and the mattress pad just was a rectangle/square that sat on stop of the mattress.

How often do you wash the mattress cover? I only do it about 3 or 4 times a year. Is that awful? For years I didn’t even have a cover, so I figure washing it is way ahead of having a mattress for ten years that never gets washed.

@JLeslie: I probably wash it about 4 times a year. I try not to put it in the dryer but it’s still a ball when it’s not on the mattress.

We just got one a bit ago, but ours just attaches using a little elastic strap on all four corners, so it was easy. The hard part now is getting the fitted sheet to stay on with the added height that the pad gives to the mattress. It pops off my side almost every night.

Oh, yes. I wash my mattress pad 1X per month (I have this thing about sleeping in a really clean bed), and it’s always a tangle, wrestle, and struggle to get it back on.

I learned, though, not to get frustrated and tug too hard. The elasticized sides might tear.

Funny, at first glance, I thought the question asked if you peed on your mattress lately!

Yes, I washed mine Tuesday.

Mine doesn’t quite fit, because I have a fairly thick mattress and a memory foam egg crate pad on top of that. It’s a pain in the neck to get it back on there evenly after I wash it.
