I don’t see any advertisements and you don’t pay to use the site so how do they stay a float? I’m concerened for their well-being of course. :)

I was wondering the same thing. I don’t see adds—beyond making money——what is the mission statement/purpose of fluther? Besides being wildly addicting….
Google ads and, like all new webby stuff, they’re banking on its future worth (just my assumptions). Also, they have your credit card number and are serving punch at fancy parties on your dime.
Turn your add blocker off. There are adds.
I don’t mind. They don’t get in the way at all
I was wondering the same thing only moments ago. Good question. I sometimes forget about my adblocker and wonder (how are they getting revenue?) :P
Do you suppose they get royalties from being an IPhone app?
Don’t pay to use the site? Alright, which one of you took my credit card details? Come on own up!!
@Marina: It’s only a webapp, so there isn’t actually any connection with Apple at all. In regards to native applications, of which Fluther doesn’t have, developers pay Apple for a license. The privilege is really that of Fluther, not Apple.
@paulc: Indeed, that seems to be the plan.
Thanks for the punch @chawk, I was thirsty.
