Have you experienced it? You feel like you have already seen it before what is happening with you now.

Whoa, didn’t you ask this question before?
But seriously, yes, I have several times. Most of the time it involves being somewhere that I feel like I have been to before and knowing which way I need to go to get where I want to go or what is around the the next corner. It just kind of sneaks up on me and I realized that my surroundings are familiar.
Used to happen a lot when I was young. Don’t recall it happening since I turned thirty.
Hardly. I’m the complete opposite of deja vu, as I sometimes forget what was in my mind a short while ago. Sometimes even… wait, what was I supposed to be writing?
Very often. They’re usually very mundane activities. It might be something like driving down a street I’ve never been on with the odd sense I’ve sat at that exact light, seeing those exact cars, seeing those exact buildings before. It’s oddly disconcerting for a moment.
All the time. I’ve read somewhere (no, I don’t have a source) that deja vu is a result of your brain filing an experience into memory faster than your consciousness can process it.
Yes, and everytime it happens, I see a couple of sinister looking people in black suits and black sunglasses.
Do they ask you to look at a light? ^^^
Yes.
I see a black cat crossing just behind an open doorway.
Yes, many times in my life—either from hearing a piece of music or finding mkyself in a particular situation or place. Can’t recall its happening anytime recently, though.
A study from Colorado University suggests deja vu might occur when someone is in a situation that is similar to a previous experience of theirs, and although they feel the familiarity of the situation, they are unable to recall the previous experience (so they have a feeling of familiarity that is without an apparent cause.)
So when I’m in deja vu and the “familiarity” feels days or weeks (or months) old—which is basically every experience of mine—it might be because the memory causing the feeling is that old! I just can’t quite recall that previous memory.
And yes, I experience deja vu, most recently yesterday when I was talking to someone. It was distracting!
Not recently. I had quite a strong deja vu experience when I was 14 or 15 at night in my home town. It has crossed my mind a few times since that if we re live our lives I will get this deja vu experience again at just this moment.
I have. If it happens while I’m playing a sport I find myself in a zone. Unstoppable and able to see what’s going to happen before it happens. Lovely feeling.
I know why we experience this, but it is not exciting, and none would benefit from its telling.
Oh sure @Here2_4, I’ve heard that before. I think. Wow! Deja Vu all over again!
Frequently. Most often in conversation, where I’ll know what the next several sentences will be (because, of course, I’ve ‘had this conversation before’). When I was young, it used to freak me out.
