I think it’s one of the best shows on TV ever! They also celebrated their last season with bigger explosions and larger scale design destruction. The good thing is that many, if not all, of their demo’s are available on YouTube!
Really that show is ending??? :(
I kind of lost interest after those annoying kids became a bigger part of the show than Adam and Jamie, but it’s terribly sad that the whole thing will be gone.
It’s about time to go back and start watching from season 1 again.
It’s just a Myth.
That show was one of the best examples of how science and engineering actually work. Start with a premise or question. Decide what principles, equations, can be tested. Determine the variables that will affect the data and if the results will be valid. Determine how success or failure will be measured. When those points are decided THEN run the test. Repeat the test to verify consistent results.
My one problem with the show was the constant repeating and catching up after every commercial break. You knew the break was coming when the countdown began.
Good show, for the reasons @LuckyGuy listed, but I haven’t watched it in years.
My son and I have had real tears over it. He couldn’t even watch the reunion show, he got teared up just thinking about it and refused to see it with me. I bawled of course.
@LuckyGuy I watched it streaming with no ads so never had that problem.
GOOD BYE . Mythbusters. I miss Manswer’s too.
@Seek I liked the annoying kids, especially Grant. Unlike you, I thought they added to the show.
What I liked about it is it was one of the popularization of critical thinking and skepticism. It made it cool.
I used to love it but stopped watching once it became really repetitive. It seemed like every commercial break was followed with a long summary of what happened before the commercial break. 60 minutes long, 20 minutes of commercials, 20 minutes of content repeated twice.
I remember when they polished a turd. Funny episode. They proved that you can polish a turd up to a point. Farewell Mythbusters. Maybe the hosts will continue there field in special effects or make a spin off.
Adam is already working with the team at Tested. I don’t know what Jamie is doing. Teaching in some capacity probably.
