What is the difference between being prudent and being a prude?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24945points) March 8th, 2016

I’ve done my best to be prudent and none have called me a prude. (Yet). I had a friend who was called a prude for not getting drunk with her In Christmas day. It’s a fine line, when does one cross it? Humor and insight welcome.

Being prudent is clearing your internet history to erase evidence of your surfing porn sites.

Being a prude means that you would not surf those sites in the first place.

Sex, drugs and rock and roll is the difference. Prude has to do with not partaking in the wild side. Prudent has to do with being careful to plan ahead and watch for pitfalls in life.
