Is this spam?

Asked by chyna (51598points) March 10th, 2016 from iPhone

I received an email from Amazon saying in the subject line: Your order.
In the body of the email it says I have been selected to receive a $50.00 Amazon gift card to answer a short survey about my order. I have not ordered anything from Amazon. I don’t know if this is spam or if someone has stolen my identity. I have checked my accounts and there are no charges yet. Has anyone else had this happen? I don’t want to open the email in case it’s a virus.

Probably Phishing. They will want you to enter your amazon user/pass and then steal your account. It is certainly a scam. Delete the email.

Please don’t click on the link. As @johnpowell wrote, you’re likely being phished. Even worse, someone could be trying to load malware onto your system.

Just a scam. Delete it immediately. If Amazon were to contact you, I’m sure they’d address you by your name.
