Wondering how have you chosen the screen name you have taken on fluther? Is there any story behind it? Also which is the screen name ( other than yours ) you find unique?

A necessary condition of joining.
I don’t remember how I came up with my user name. But my all time favorite user name is
jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities. He hasn’t been on since 2011 though.
From this:
Five students of a Zen master was back from the market on their bicycles. As they dismounted, their master asked : Why are you riding your bicycles ?”
Each of them came up with different answers to their master’s query.
The first student said “It is the bicycle that is carrying the sack of potatoes. I am glad that my back has escaped the pain of bearing the weight”
The master was glad and said : ” You are a smart boy. When you become old you will be saved of a hunch back unlike me”
The second student had a different answer. ” I love to have my eyes over the trees and the sprawling fields as I go riding”
The teacher commended : “You have your eyes open and you see the world”
The third disciple came up with yet a different answer : ” When I ride I am content to chant ‘nam myoho renge kyo’”
The master spoke words of appreciation ” Your mind will roll with ease like a newly trued wheel”
The fourth disciple said : “Riding my bicycle I live in perfect harmony of things”
The pleased master said ” You are actually riding the golden path of non-harming or non violence”
The fifth student said ” I ride my bicycle to ride my bicycle”
The master walked up to him and sat at his feet and said “I am your disciple!” -
I like Pink Floyd and I sometimes feel like a bit of a misfit who lives on earth.
Grew up dancing. A soubresaut is one of the most basic ballet jumps, so is a sort of foundation for the rest. Also, I like the way the word sounds.

I’m a guy who lives in Red Deer.
It was a question that I was asked in a job interview. My mental response is my moniker. My google search for the “answer” brought me here and my first answer was the one I would have liked to have given in that interview…. It would have been rather inappropriate.
I’m a Willy and prefer the Tropics.

I didn’t plan to stick around when I came here. Was just googling fleas as it was summer and the cats had fleas. I used my initials to post.
I’ve been tempted to change to something more interesting but at this point it is what it is and I am who I am.
I’ve been here since 2007. So much for not planning to stick around.
Spirit of the Crow. I was The Crow (Friendo) on Answerbag, but I got killed off in the political battles during the first Obama election cycle for having a large army of sockpuppets to counter the neo-con propagandist sockpuppet armies that I was up against. Those were different times. Anyway, they “suspended” me until 2038 ce. Now I’m the Spirit of the Crow. And they are the Spirit of Answerbag. lol.
It is reflective of the town I lived in for years and when I joined here between 2010 and 2013. I now live in basically the same area only about 35 miles north of my old zone.

@imrainmaker I tinkered around with a little panning on occasion, but this drought has left things pretty stagnant the last few years. NOW, we are getting pummeled with rain and the rivers and creeks are flowing again so this might be a good year for a little prospecting again. I did go in search of the meteorite that exploded over Coloma a few years ago. A big event!
I came over from a cooking website. Kardamom is a slightly different spelling of the spice cardamom that is common in both Scandinavian and East Indian cooking. It’s my favorite spice and I’m the resident lover of all things cooking and food.
No influence from Kardashians right..))
I used to bake every weekend, kind of a quiet, therapeutic alone-time activity that resulted in yummy treats to eat and share with others.
There were some other people with cookie names, so I went with cupcake.
