Men, do you prefer to shave with an electric or a regular razor?
I prefer and use a regular razor. Also, I use the Schick Hydro brand. I feel that the electric one don’t do a very good job, for the most part.
You? and why?

Regular. I have a light beard and don’t even use shaving cream half the time. Electric razors take three times longer to shave clean than a blade does. Why would I want to spend more time at basic morning ablutions than I have to? I got things to do, man.
I do either, depending on how much time I have. I don’t have a preference.
I’ve always used an electric razor, but shaving isn’t a daily ritual with me.
An electric razor has never been able to get a close enough shave.
I use a double edged blade, shaving soap and brush, and very hot water.
Regular razor. Over the years I’ve tried every manual and electric razor there is and found the Gillette Proglide Power razor works best for me. Electric razors just don’t give me a close enough shave.
Also, I gave up shave cream years ago for shaving lube. Jack Black is THE BEST.
Blades, smoother & closer shave.
Electric – doesn’t take as long, and I can actually leave a small length of hair in place :)
Hubby uses a 3 blade razor. His beard is heavy and the hairs thick.
Many-blade razors don’t shave closely enough and get clogged. Electric shavers pull the hairs out, and it’s painful.
He has often expressed the wish that I could learn to use a straight razor. I lack someone to teach me.
I use cheap, disposable, regular razors. The electric razors I tried didn’t seem to get close enough, compared to regular.
I used Schick disposable razors for decades – powder blue with white – until they “new and improved” them a year or two ago. i.e. an excuse to triple the price.
I usually use the liquid hand soap on the sink for shaving lube.
A blade. I don’t think an electric razor would give satisfactory results for me, as a woman. Plus I’d electrocute myself in the shower.
The highest tech electrics still took much longer than modern multiblade disposable head razors for me to get a satisfactory result.
5 blades might seem like a gimmick but they are worth the cost in time saved. The standard handle is well weighted and balanced.
Just like a private jet, such razors are a way to turn your money back into the precious asset known as time.
Traditional single blade razor
^ The “paddle” of multiple blades is impressively smooth.
Multiple blades means more cutting in fewer strokes.
In shaving tech parlance the “angle of exposure” (the angle of the blade to the skin) can be less aggressive with multiple blades.
This means amazing smoothness, comfort and speed.
I hope this won’t be modded for spam but I have been using Gillette’s product for several years.
I’ve never enjoyed such a combination of comfort, closeness and speed before.
The refills are not cheap but they really do make a significant difference. Shaving time has been reduced by ⅔rds. The razor painlessly glides over and gets the job done.
I’ve been reasonably pleased with the stock weighted metal handle. Though even better handles are available from independent manufacturers.
The product is so good it’s sold by shaving purists:

I use an electric razor. I like to keep some hair on my face.
I prefer to use an electric razor, along with that Face Saver powder. I don’t have to shave too often (my facial isn’t much), but when I do, I use an electric one.
I never heard of Face shaver powder before, @DominicY.
Cool.

I bought an electric razor at Goodwill last week for $2.
I’m liking it.
Shaving pimples is what I’m trying to get away from.
