Well for the working class, isn’t that sorta true?
How much is Trump worth? Yeah. Real poor….
Make America great again? For who? It’s great for a handful of people
Thanks to people like him.
Yeah, high debt does that.
I wouldn’t agree with anything Trump said until I saw corroborating data. And that is a meaningless statement in any case, far too broad. What does he mean by poor?
The USA is a staggeringly wealthy country. It can mobilise resources on a scale that no other country can come close to.
It is the largest economy in the world with a per capita GDP that’s typical of much smaller resource dense countries.
As usualy, Trump is just objectively wrong, or lying.
If there are a lot of Americans who are poor, and there’s a great disparity in wealth—that’s because people like Trump have got their hands on nearly all of it. And the only politician close to talking about that issue is Bernie Sanders.
To a multi-billionaire with a big mouth, everybody else looks poor.
Poor in spirit, yes.
Witness the Presidential candidates.
I would need more detail, definitions, and statistics. I do worry our middle class is shrinking and more and more under duress, and puts to much on credit causing individual and societal financial bubbles that burst. But, to call the US poor is fairly obnoxious I think when you look around the world and see real poverty among the masses, and real lack of basic health conditions in a more widespread way.
I don’t think he is talking about Americans; he is talking about America, land of out of control spending and debt.
What ever he has said, he is likely to have said the exact opposite recently. It depends on his crowd.
America has financial problems, but it is still not poor. Not compared to a third world country.
