(NSFW) Is there something better than toilet paper to clean myself?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24945points) March 22nd, 2016

I have one ply discount toilet paper and It doesn’t keep my hands clean. Would buying a multiple ply toilet paper help? I have baby wipes, but I am going through them rapidly. I don’t have a bidet. Do they sell extra-wide TP (toilet paper) for big and tall men? I am trying not to be graphic.

Buy regular, two ply toilet paper.

Take a shower after you go to the bathroom. You can incorporate that into your routine. Have some coffee, go to the bathroom, take a shower. Then you’re ready for the day. Even if you’re staying home for the day, you’re clean and you’re ready, should you decide to go out.

Control your diet rather than investing in toilet papers..))

@imrainmaker I just had a banana. Thanks anyway. I will watch what I eat from now on. I bought a high fiber low sugar whole weat cereal.

I would suggest that you try to purchase less expensive wipes. I’m not sure what product availability you have in your part of the world, but here in Ireland you can get good deals in Tesco & Boots. We can purchase wipes for as little as €1 a packet. Its even more cost effective if you buy multi packs.

I usually carry a small pack of hand wipes in my man bag, when I’m out and about. It really helps to get rid of any stubborn dirt up the nether region.

Other than that, you might have to extract the hair from your nether region hehe

Sam’s Club has the best value in 2-ply toilet paper. If you don’t have a membership, I suggest doing the math and buying the largest package of the least expensive name-brand toilet paper you can get.

Buying the pack with 240 quadruple rolls reduces both the number of times you shop for it, and the number of times you consider how much you use to get the job done right.

Never buy 1 ply tissue again.

‘Flushable’ wipes blamed for clogging sewage systems

Just buy 2 ply tissue or use more tissue?

You just need to buy better toilet paper – more ply. Wipes can clog up the drains. They aren’t as disposable as they appear to be.

Years ago, when the convenience moistened wipes came out for infants I thought. Well, this will be better than toilet paper since my GF doesn’t have a bidet.

Not long after moist wipes were marketed to adults. I wasn’t surprised.

My wife demands that I dispose of such wipes in a small can beside the toilet.

It clearly reads on the package that they are flushable. In my mind all is good.

Call my when the accumulation of wipes in the system threatens to effect me directly.

Buy better toilet paper. One-ply is just a waste of money and trees.

Single-ply? You’re better off using your bare hands! Seriously, that stuff literally doesn’t grab shit.

@SecondHandStokeJust for you

Flushable wipes are much better. A spray of water is also an improvement. You’ll find a system that works for you. We all do.

@jerv Some of the flushable wipes do break down with gentle agitation. I tested it in my bathroom sink. No problem. The first generation of them were awful. I read it over and over. I use the Equate ones sold at the Walmart store. They disintegrate in the sink if you leave it a while and then stir it around. The older ones in the darker blue package were not for flushing. You could not make then disintegrate in the sink by soaking and stirring. This is really the only thing I go specifically to Walmart to buy. They are probably sold under a brand name but I don’t know which one.

Well obviously there’s no problem. Molly’s tested the wipes to ensure they break down. Councils must be lying about the fat bergs clogging the sewers.

I too use the Equate Flushable Wipes. They work well. I think they have improved these, as MollyMcGuire was saying. I for one do not like dry toilet paper at all.

@MollyMcGuire I don’t have an agitator in my toilet.
