How do I determine the correct female clothing size as a female? Women’s sizing is a freaking nightmare.
Can you go into a local Hot Topic and try on comparable (same brand and style) hoodies?
Thank you for replying Priceis, I can’t go to the store, I can only buy online, sadly.
From the size guide, you look to be a medium.
@zenvelo I think the concern of @johnking1342 is whether or not it will be long enough, as the average female junior isn’t 5’11.
Also, I would imagine that shoulder measurement is important. I buy men’s button ups specifically because they have more space up top.
I wear a small in men’s, probably could do a medium or large in juniors though.
I’m sure this is all just making it more confusing, I’m sorry :x
Looking at the pictures the length of the hoodie is long. It comes to the top of her thighs and is not stretched down. The sleeves are also far too long for her arms. Look at how bunched up they are. I think the fit will be fine for 5,11”. So pick the right chest size. Medium, or large for some roominess. Tight hoodies are not a good look!
In this particular case my best guess is large. You risk the sleeves and entire jacket being short, but as another jelly mentioned it’s made a little long, so it likely will be ok, or close enough.
Large women’s is typically a medium in men’s, this might be more of a junior fit, and it’s outerwear, so it’s ok to be a little big. Don’t get the medium. It will be snug and short most likely. It’s all guessing though. As someone said, girls clothes are a nightmare. Let us know how it fits.
Hot Topic runs small. Get the large.
Get large, hoodies look better that way. :) If you’re 5’11’ you probably have long arms, get the large.
If it runs small you might want XL. Depending on what you plan to wear underneath.
