Does anyone want these Philips computer speakers?

Asked by ScottyMcGeester (1897points) March 31st, 2016

They’re old – like around 2004-ish. I stopped using them for a long time now and I hate having them around because they clog up space with the wires and the power pack. I have other speakers that are much more modern.

The sound on one of the speakers sometimes goes in and out, and you’d have to adjust the plug a little to get it to be steady. But if anyone else out there loves to tinker with electronics and take them apart or whatever – be my guest. Not sure if I care about paying – I just want these stupid things out of my house.

Freecycle is mentioned here a lot, @ScottyMcGeester.
It might put you in contact with a more local interested party.

Otherwise you might consider Goodwill. They’re dedicated to recycling what they can’t resell.

Wow that’s a really cool site. Never knew it existed. Thanks!

I’m rural, so I haven’t used it, @ScottyMcGeester, but I know a lot of members here do/did and talked highly.

Seems less of crapshoot than Craigslist.

Hope it works for you.

Oh I forgot to update that I gave them away through freecycle.

That’s so cool, @ScottyMcGeester.
I’m glad you made use of Freecycle and I’m pleased Fluther was a help.
