When I am down in the dumps just
going to buy a new bottle of nail
polish seems to cheer me up!
What does it for you?

I tend to buy new stuff for my aquarium when I’m down. Making my fish happy makes me happy!
Pretty underwear. I swear it works every time.
My favorite food and drink..))
It’s very American to think the one must “buy” something to feel better. That’s a sad but true statement. Spending time outdoors is my answer, a walk does wonders.
Books, especially good fiction novels. I tend to not buy things to alleviate the feeling when I’m down. I feel like that I won’t be able to enjoy the goods I purchased as much as when I’m in happy mood.
Food.
Something I’ve never tried (or heard of preferred) before if I can find it.
Books.
@Unofficial_Member has something there. Most of my fiction books cost 50¢ or $1, so there’s double satisfaction of a bargain and a good book. I bought one on my birthday for 50¢.
My even more American answer for @disquisitive would be “A nice drive.” I love the feeling of escape that driving to unfamiliar territory gives me.
Talk to my good friend, go shopping, watch cute and funny animal videos, remind myself that this too shall pass, one way or another, and either drink a little wine or eat ice cream. haha
Mexican food. A Sinatra CD. Some electronic thingie I had previously talked myself out of buying. Candy.
There’s nothing to buy here, really. I hang with my dogs, go for a ride on my horse, or go for a sail. Maybe come back with some crab or a big pompano for dinner.
I’m with @disquisitive. Some sun or a good hike is what helps me.
