No, it is not common for most people to be involved In a street fight. It is unusual for most people to be involved in a fight at school.
I was in a tussle in sixth grade, it never escalated to a fight, no one got in trouble from it.
Yes I have have, I’ve got my ass beat but I’ve gotten in there good too. Rough area.
No I haven’t. However, I was watching the crime channel last night about the use of surveillance cameras in the UK and the fights they capture. Seriously disturbing footage! What the heck is wrong with people? If ever there was justification for banning alcohol, the footage of violence those cameras pick up (and I’m sure it’s not just in the UK) is it.
I kicked a street sign one time, it was intimidating me, it read…Letsbe Avenue I may have been drunk
Got in several fist fights in middle school. Nothing beyond that.
There has never been a situation where I would even have had to pull a King Arthur and run away.
Couple of times as a kid i fought someone while defending my siblings, and once as an adult I had to punch a guy in the face for not taking “If you touch me again I’m going to punch you in your fucking face” as a hint.
No never, but once in my wild youth I did grab a girl by the neck and toss her off my chair she had stolen at a bar. lol
That would be a definite NO for me.
Once in school, I saw this kid bully a smaller kid.
So I grabbed the bully’s arm and said “Tell me, do you bleed? You will”.
Then I broke his arm so that his bones protruded from the skin.
I threw him down the floor and said:
“Consider this mercy.”
Never. I’ve never even seen one. I did punch someone once.
While in Japan, I was invited to out with a small group of fellow foreigners. One of them turned out to be a really obnoxious drunk. He was walking on the street at night drinking his beer (open container is a no-no) and decided it would be funny to pour the drink into someone’s motorcycle helmet. I stopped him. He didn’t like to be corrected and for the next km or so of walking kept poking me and making fun that was a pussy, chicken, goody boy, blah, blah, blah. Finally he poked me one too many times and “Pow” he was down on the ground. I kept walking. They never invited me out again. Good riddance.
Jerks.
@LuckyGuy Ugh…nothing worse than an obnoxious drunk, I had a similar experience with a drunk guy that wanted to ride one of the horses a few years ago now in my old zone. Seriously? You really think I’m going to out a drunk greenhorn on a horse? Fuck you dude, I could care less if you break your neck but you’re not going to ruin a horse in doing it. lol
It’s even worse when a woman calls a drunk guy out, I thought he was going to punch me, go ahead, make my day, I’ll wave goodbye to you in the squad car. lol
Yes, I’ve both seen them and been somewhat involved. I do my best to avoid them except when other people are in want of protection. Almost always it is drunkenness and/or bullying, and generally not very serious fighting.
All my brawling was done in the home – mainly getting beaten up by my big brother.
I can honestly say I’ve never hit anyone or been hit.
I was probably in 20 of them in my younger days. ( Not really proud of it) I lived my whole life hating a bully, So got into most of my fights taking up for younger, weaker people. My mom always instilled in me to help the weak and poor.
I’m afraid my violence wasn’t on the street.
No. A girl jumped me in the smoking area at high school once and we fought, with me trying not to.
Broke a guys nose in a coffee shop because he insulted my little sister in a crude and vile way. I was bought several drinks for it in the following month or two
I got in a fight when two guys tried to roll me and my friends. It was on the street in a west-end neighbourhood. It was two-on-two and they took off after some cars stopped and the people inside were probably calling the police.
I think a street brawl wouldn’t be too fun.
No, I never have, but I have studies some martial arts, and I am a rather large and strong lady!
I got into a fist fight in high school once.
