Is learning how to play the guitar hard?
I really want to learn how to play the Guitar. Electric or Acoustic. I have an Electric at home, I have not touched it for a year and a half now. I always wondered how good I would be had I kept learning back then. Any tips on how to learn fast and get better?

Learning anything is not usually fast. Be patient. Work at it. Can you afford lessons? Do you have a friend to learn from? Some people are actually self taught, but those are usually cases of people who have a magical ear and a natural “feel”. You have to be willing to put in some time.
There are online sources to check. Maybe some of those can help you get started.
Good luck!
Well I have been playing for 25 years and I am still learning it. It can be quite hard but it depends on what level of mastery you want for yourself. I reached mine in about six years and really have not improved much since then. I can’t imagine what I could have done with the resources available on the web now if I had them back then. The secret is you have to enjoy it now, not later. If you don’t enjoy it now you will not practice. So if you hate playing scales and would rather belt out some power chords then do that. Mix in the scales a little at a time. Do play with other people, especially now.
If you have some background in music or its theory, then no. Even without it, I heard it’s easier compared to other instruments. There are plenty of tools online to help you.
Getting basic chord progressions down should be a no-brainer. “Mastering” the guitar, however, is very difficult.
No, but learning to play it well is hard.
It’s different for everybody. There is only one way to find out and, thus far, you have not taken that way. So, the real question is, do you really want to know the answer to this question, or do you just want to fantasize about being a guitar player? If the answer to the second part of this question is yes, then take up air guitar.
