These particular two movies are probably aimed at middle aged women, but give them a try anyway. The casts of both are superb and both movies were hilarious.
The first one is Something’s Gotta Give(film) with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson.
The second one is It’s Complicated(film) with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin.
Another good one (not aimed at middle aged women Lol) is Burn After Reading with Frances McDorman, Brad Pitt, and John Malkovich. Brad Pitt is so un-Brad-Pitt-like in this movie, and has one of the funniest dance scenes I’ve ever witnessed.
This one is a Netflix created miniseries called Grace and Frankie with Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Sam Waterston, and Martin Sheen, playing two couples, in which the men discover early on that they are gay and have a 20 year affair. They decide to come clean to their wives when same sex marriage is made into law. This series is the aftermath of that situation. Excellent acting. Some very touching scenes, and some extremely funny scenes. I would highly recommend this, as most people have not heard of it. My mom and I watched it when it first came out and couldn’t get enough of it.
The (original) Trip with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. This movie has the two actors doing one of the funniest, and best, series of imitations of other actors, but especially of Sean Connery.
This is my initial list, but if you tell me what kinds of movies you like, I can give more/better recommendations. Hope you like these as much as I did.
@Kardamom, I could not agree more about “The Trip.” I’ve watched it many times. Yes, it’s very funny, but it also had some lovely, poignant moments.
The sequel several years later was AWFUL!
“Best in Show” is very funny.
@Pachy Yes, there were some very depressing moments for Steve Coogan. He was kind of an a-hole. I haven’t seen the sequel.
