Are you dreaming of the weekend?
What are your plans?
I’m going to do as little as possible on Saturday. On Sunday, I’m going to audition callbacks to read for 2 plays hitting the boards this summer (Twelfth Night and The Witch of Edmonton).

My weekend starts now. Home alone for the next few days and while I have the usual stuff to do I am looking forward to a lot of solitude too.
I don’t have big plans for the weekend and that’s fiiiine with me. I’m ready to chill!
What I’m really looking forward to is next week. Matt and I are taking our first our first big vacation – L.A!
Mine has started too. Got some tasks and errands to run and going to see a band tomorrow night but the friend I was hoping to see isn’t available so slightly bummed.
@janbb What’s for dinner? Be right there.
This weekend coincides with a traditional holiday here, so for the first time of the year I’m officially allowed to have a Saturday off. The talk of what to do for the week has been around since Monday. My best freinds at school are planning for a trip to another city for the weekend and they are gathering as many people as possible. I’m not included, as all I can think of right now is my final and I’m going to spend my weekend in books. I’m jealous of people enjoying the holiday in the street though.
No plans for this weekend, but I am counting down the days until we ship off my mother in law to greener pastures. Well, maybe not greener, but at least the pastures are way over there and I don’t have to hear the shouting anymore.
Two weeks. Just two more weeks.
Saturday is our Master Gardener Annual plant sale at the county Botanical Gardens, I’ll be there from 7:30 AM until 2 PM check receipts an getting help to load things in cars. The proceeds from the sales will be a applied to a STEM ( S cience T echnology E ngineering and M ath) garden. Already have solar panels and weather station set-up from grants and donations in the garden.
Bicycle season. Once a year I take my tools to a friends house for a bike cleaning and tuning party. This Saturday is the day!
@Tropical_Willie do you have a sundial in the garden? It might be an appropriate project. There are even surprisingly simple but nonetheless mind-blowing digital sundials.
@jaytkay We have a sundial in one of the other gardens, we have six other garden areas.
I unno. Yes, I was just thinking I like the change in the atmosphere in the house come Saturday morning.
@Tropical_Willie pictures please?
THAT is so cool @jaytkay! How do people think up that stuff?
Oh boy! Let’s see what’s coming down the pike for this weekend!
Friday: Work
Saturday: Work
Sunday: Work
Maybe I’ll be able to squeeze in some time to go out…?
Friday evening I get together with some friends. Saturday I finish my taxes, then at dinner time I go over to my girlfriend’s.
Sunday morning, we get up, I am running a 10 mile race in the Presidio of San Francisco and across the Golden Gate Bridge.
Sunday afternoon, I rest my legs.
Bay Area Craft Beer Festival.
My husband is looking for a job and I am working very part time on a self contracted basis, so weekends and weekdays aren’t very different from each other.
Not really. The weekend is my busiest time. I’m looking forward to a birthday party and seeing friends on Saturday afternoon, though.
It’s my birthday! It’s my birthday! So yes, I’m looking forward to tomorrow. I’m such a child. Not sure what we’ll do. One daughter is going to someone’s wedding, so she won’t be here. The other has to work. I think I might go for a photography day.
Nothing particularly exciting planned this weekend so I’m looking forward to the two days off, but not “dreaming” of it.
@Earthbound_Misfit: Happy Birthday! I had a birthday about a month ago and did the same thing – got portraits taken with my daughter. Then we went to an art museum for a nice change of pace.

Happiest of Happys, @Earthbound_Misfit!
We have stretch of stunning weather coming, so yard work, garden prep, long walks with dogs… then Epsom Salt soaks in a deep tub for recovery purposes. Very excited!
@canidmajor I think we are living in a parallel universe, haha
Same here, beautiful weather coming, garden prep Sunday and all the usual animal chores.
I have a 50 lb. sack of the salts in the garage with a giant measuring cup in the bag. lol
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I had a lovely weekend. We went to a wildlife sanctuary so I could take some photos with my new lens.
This is a picture of a Koala I took with my new lens. And one of a dingo and another of some black swans.
Cool photos, @Earthbound_Misfit. I especially like the koala. Very vivid.
I saw The Jungle Book last night. We saw it in IMAX 3D. It was a really good movie. IMAX 3D added a whole new dimension, and the sound was great. They had a little problem for the first 5 minutes with the projection, and they came in at the end of the movie and said everyone who attended will get a free ticket to see any other movie, expires July 2017. So we got two free tickets for another movie!
@Earthbound_Misfit You know I love my geese, well, I have also always wanted to buy a pair of Black swans. They are for sale here in America. I love them!
When I wrote this question, I completely forgot I had tickets to see The Book of Mormon. It was a touring company, and it was superb! I laughed till I was in pain. Loved it.
Happy birthday, @Earthbound_Misfit, and I love the photos.
