What is special nowadays?

True hand craftsmanship of common devices. (automobiles, timepieces, etc).

Devices or objects that tell stories or have character.

Pride of ownership.

Things worth servicing, repairing, bequeathing.

Being able to cook your own food.

It’s really a fascinating documentary series featuring a different skill each week.

I found the one about a shoemaker most interesting. In this age of manufacturing, I had no idea that there were still people making shoes by hand. Absolutely fascinating. I think you’d enjoy this show as much as I.
