At my Walmart today they had bags of shredded cauliflower in the produce section. Not expensive. I might actually try one of those strange recipes I’ve heard about like cauliflower pizza crust.

Something new for me is that I used to cringe whenever I’d hear a Boy band on the radio or see a Justin Bieber video.
Now I catch myself singing One Direction’s “History” and Bieber’s hit song “Sorry.”
As a grown man I don’t know if these artists are getting better now or if I should just slap myself.

As a man in my 50’s, I’m a bit embarrassed about my fondness for Micheal Buble’s music, @Pineapplebush.

(And welcome!)

This looks like a new trend to me. At my school there is a Facebook page created and monitored by former students that is dedicated for students to ask about the school, share their school life’s stories and other crap that fits. Lately there have been many posts that aim to “fight for justice”. They range from not-so-nice opinions about someone to questions about the authorities, although the real purpose of those posts needs to be called in question. The biggest incident was some posts about the inconsistency of the scholaship policy and how some people who couldn’t have met the requirement managed to slip through the crack. Rumors were that the school had to drop this year’s candidate list because of that.

There is that girl I know who has been pissed off by a test score for months. Yesterday when we were alone she suddenly brought up the score story. She then asked me to go on a “pedition” with her. We each would post two different posts on that Facebook page talking about that score. She didn’t care if I called out the teacher’s name or made things as subtle as possible, all she needed was a lot of posts so that someone would “claim her justice” like what they did to the scholarship incident. I seriously doubt her intention. I don’t know if she really wants “justice” or she just wants to keep up with the trend…

I’ve been hearing a song by DNCE – Cake By The Ocean
I had to look up what Cake by the Ocean meant. Let’s just say it’s NSFW…

@Stinley: That song is all over the radio (pop stations). Very catchy tune.

Probably best to not go too public, @Mimishu1995.

I’ve tried that sort of product that was more “people away” than anything, @Coloma. Beware.

Looks beautiful, @johnpowell. Eat at your own risk. lol

Yikes!@Stinley. I’m sorry. ~

I learaned that those huge wheeled things that carry water to fields are called irrigators. They do not go forward, butu in a circle. You have to program in for each wheel how far it turns and how often. You need an engineer or to be one yourself. You can also use a computer and drive back and forth all over the field until every inch has been covered. It computes elevation, soil content and all sorts of stuff. Then you hook that computer into the one for the irrigators and it will automatically calculate and program each wheel. The source for water is a well right there at the inside part of the circle.

Ah, thanks @Jak. I knew a lot of that and I can see irrigators from my front window. The past few years almost all the productive crop fields seem to have gotten tiled and irrigators. I have to worry what that does to the water table.

Going to see the new Kevin Costner flick tonight, “Criminal.” A new movie to watch.

@ibstubro Hey, I’ll try anything to keep the damn rodents out of my car. A chewed fuel line and my accessory drive belt..well…it’s war! I mean WTF..they have 10 acres of land to do their ratty thing, a horse barn and a chicken coop and a duck and goose barn to pilfer feed from, but noooo, they eat their fucking seeds and nuts under my hood and chew up my car. lol

I forgot to report that I saw a new product at the grocery, yesterday.
Imitation Breaded Shrimp. WTF??
I kid you not. They were expensive and I don’t have the facilities to deep fry, or I would have bought them. Hell, I probably still will! lol

Have you tried ground red pepper, @Coloma? It will keep coons from crapping on the front stoop and critters from eating the plants (until it rains – not a huge problem for you). Try it under the hood and on the drive under. $1 at the Dollar Tree.

@Coloma: How did you like The Jungle Book in IMAX 3D?

Coloma's avatar

@jca I loved it, the characters and scenery were stellar!
Infact, I am taking a little 9 yr. old friend to see it again today! :-)

As of May 2014, the first prototype test tires made with blends from dandelion-rubber are scheduled to be tested on public roads over the next few years.

Yes, they have found a way to grow dandelions in such a way that we can harvest the natural rubber [milk] and make tires from it!

Coloma's avatar

@ibstubro Wow…super cool!
I just told my race car driving friend about this. :-)

ibstubro's avatar

I was impressed, @Coloma.
Just make sure to keep your fingers away from your mouth after changing a tire. ~
