Is it just me, or are there more and more 'non-questions' appearing?
Okay, by ‘non-questions’ I mean the questions asked by relatively new users that aren’t actually questions, they are just poorly worded statements, with a link at the bottom to some product (I don’t know where the link goes, don’t have the guts to click it)
I was casually hanging out in the ‘orphans’ section, and saw at least three of these ‘questions’
Has anyone else noticed them? Or am I just the only one that casually hangs out in the orphans section in an attempt to answer a question and then get five great answers for it?
Anyways… I just found it really strange that fluther is also being targeted by these salespeople…

They are more noticeable at night when the mods take a break.
That’s spam, and, as @RedDeerGuy1 suggests, more get through and stay longer when the moderation is thin.
Flag them and help a mod out.
Okay, will do when I see them :)
I mod them whenever I see them, but I’m not always online. Same with the other mods.
Btw, just so it’s known, my mod privileges extend only to modding obvious spam. I don’t do any “subjective” moderation, since my role here is mainly as a tech contributor.
Sometimes, a Jelly in need of a good vent will post a rant in the guise of a question. I know that many people object to this. Personally, I don’t mind. Such “questions” might break the spirit of the rules, if not the letter, but I’m ok with that. I really don’t mind reading.
If you do flag a spam post, please comment with the time you flagged it so the mods don’t get flooded with repeated flags on the same post!
Btw, they are not salespeople, they are bots that are just programmed to place their spam into any forum they can sign up for for free.
A lot of folks post here who have obvious difficulty with English. The person asking the ship questions these days for instance is a real puzzlement.
I am very impressed with myself!
I saw a jelly who was new to the collective, and had posted a question, I checked them out, and lo and behold: Spam!
So I flagged it as such
